Well, today, during those infinite moments, i made a quick portrait (a sketch actually) of one of the many customers who come to the desk with their list of stuff to buy...

Ci sono momenti (anche ore) in cui non c'è molto da fare sul posto di lavoro.
Questo capita il più delle volte durante metà pomeriggio...proprio come oggi...e allora ho pensato di prender su carta e penna e di ritrarre uno dei pezzi che vendo di più in assoluto....tempo impiegato bene...

There are moments (even hours) when there's not so much to do at work.
This happens most of the time halfway through the afternoon......just like today.....and that's why i decided to grab a pen and a sheet up and portrait one of the most sold item on stock......time spent the right way....

Dedicated to my second city

I will write this brand new post completely in english in order to pay homage to a city which will always be my second one; this city is called Cork and it's located in the southern part of Ireland.
Last year, at this time, i was finishing to pack my bags up, ready to move to the so called "Rebel City".
The lesson this city's thaught me was so very useful to become the man i am now.

One day i'll be back, that's for sure!

Ho trovato per caso, visitando il sito del fumettista irlandese (il cui link lo trovate nella lista), un sito internet che permette all'utente di realizzare degli sketch direttamente registrando l'elaborato come un video di YouTube.....http://sketchcast.com; è incredibile i miracoli che internet riesce a farti fare! Tutto questo è fantastico per un cuor di bambino come me!

Pensate che me ne sia rimasto con il mouse fermo a perder tempo? Assolutamente no!

Posto due sketch che ho fatto ieri sera a penna mentre stavo guardando Heroes in tv....
Avevo un foglio da scriverci la spesa sottomano e invece questo telefilm mi ha ispirato un carroarmato ed un tizio con occhiali e spada (Mah.....), la mente a volte....

Beh, sul carroarmato non c'è nessuna spiegazione plausibile...circa il tizio con occhiali invece, se guardato bene assomiglia un pò al ragazzo giapponese del telefilm, in grado di piegare lo spazio e il tempo (Hiro Nakamura mi pare che sia il suo nome), che ogni tanto appare vestito da samurai con la spada...

.....contaminazioni.....??

Here i post two sketches of mine that i made by pen yesterday evening as i was watching the brand new episode of "Heroes" on tv....

There was a piece of paper on the tabe which was meant to be the list i'd use to do the shopping but this tv show inspired me to draw up a tank and a guy with a sword on (a sworded guy) and sunglasses on as well....(mah....), my mind.....

Well, about the tank there's no reasonable explanation......on the contrary, about the guy with sunglasses, if you take an accurate look at him, you can notice a resemblance to the japanese character of the show, the one who's able to flex space and time (i guess his name is Hiro Nakamura), who sometimes appears with a samurai outfit and a sword on...

.....contaminations....??

è passato diverso tempo dall'ultimo post e ora ritorno con un filmato della serie "bass guitar reharsals" ovvero le prove al basso che eseguo con i brani hard rock e heavy metal che più mi piacciono.
In questo nuovo episodio potrete ascoltarmi (vedermi è una parola grossa) mentre eseguo ad "orecchio" Planet Caravan dei Black Sabbath, pezzo tratto da quell'incredibile album che corrisponde al nome di "Paranoid" del 1970!

Presto, spero, se il tempo e la giusta ispirazione verranno a me, tornerò con nuove illustrazioni e perchè no anche qualche fumetto! E' tutta una questione di ispirazione!

Here i am back again guys! /..\

It's been quite a long time since i posted some brand new shit in here but now i come back in to post a brand new episode of the serie "bass guitar reharsals" which are, as you can understand from the name itself, the rehearsals that i play at the bass guitar of hard rock and heavy metal tracks i like the most.

This time is the turn of Black Sabbath's Planet Caravan. In this video you can hear me (saying "see" would be uncorrected)play the above mentioned track by ear. This track was picked up from a terrific album which corresponds to the name of "Paranoid" from 1970!

Hopefully very soon i'll draw back brand new illustrations and why not, comics stripes but until then, that is when i'll have plenty of inspiration, you may enjoy this...

Si, tra le altre cose mi diletto a suonare il basso.
In questa registrazione si vede la mia mano suonare "a orecchio" "My sweet Lord" di George Harrison.
Questa è una prima versione, magari quando avrò "acquisito" meglio le note ne farò una seconda perfezionata.

Yep, between the other stuff there's also the passion of playing the bass guitar.
In this video you can see my left hand sliding up and down the bass keybord as i play George Harrison's "My sweet Lord" by ear.
This one's just a premiere version, perhaps when i'll have got to know all the chords i do a second better version.

La legge del karma - The law of karma

Ieri pomeriggio a Torino si è tenuto in contemporanea al "Veggie Pride" di Parigi, la manifestazione intitolata "Per un'alimentazione senza uccisione", durante la quale, diverse associazioni formate da persone vegetariane e vegane hanno sfilato con cartelli e slogan davanti ai McDonald's della città, da loro chiamati McMerdon's.

Questa illustrazione, che ho chiamato "Illustrazione illuminante" è stato il mio contributo ad un'associazione vegana (AgireOra, di cui trovate il link qui sulla colonna a destra) della mia città, che ha stampato la tavola a grandi dimensioni e ne ha fatto un cartello esposto ieri a Torino durante il festival.

Yesterday afternoon In Turin, a demonstration in defense of animal rights called "Feeding without killing" took place, while a parallel one named "Veggie Pride" was running on in Paris. It was a protest meeting carried on by several vegan and vegetarian associations which showed banners and slogans in front of McDonald's restaurants of the city.

This illustration is my contribution to a vegan association of my town which joined the meeting (Agireora, whose link can be found here on the the column on the right) and printed it in a high resolution format. I called it "illuminating illustration". It's been shown as a poster in a high resolution format at the yesterday afternoon protest meeting.

Clopete clopete! - I ran and i ran and i ran

Ieri pomeriggio, in una un percorso di campagna della mia città lungo 6 km, si è svolta la prima edizione de "La corsa degli argini", gara podistica le cui strade di campagna costeggiano i fiumi Tanaro e Bormida e passano attraverso meravigliosi campi verdi e fioriti che consentono al corridore/camminatore di godere alla vista di stupendi paesaggi campestri con tanto di fauna tipica e di rilassarsi annusando le essenze della natura...

Ieri, il vosto amichevole Drawer di quartiere si è portato a casa il primo premio e il trofeo..eheheh ^_^.
Questa foto mi ritrae nelle fasi finali in cui sono spalla a spalla con il mio valoroso avversario...(poco dopo, alla curva sulla destra, cambio ritmo e lo stacco sulle ultime due salite fino a tagliare il traguardo.)

Yeah! Just as i wrote in the title!
Yesterday i won the first edition of a running race in the countryside near my home town.
The run passed through amazing landscapes of the low Piemont which allow the runner/walker to enjoy a wonderful sight and sniff the scents of the country.

Anyway, your friendly neighborhood drawer placed first and won the trophy!!
This pic portrays me as i was running the last meters of the race, shoulder to shoulder with a skillfull guy whom i overcame shortly after turning on the way to the up hills.

A great satisfaction to me!
